Gracie began her career on the Linux Foundation's communications team, collaborating with the Training and Certification and Events teams, as well as with senior leadership and the wider Linux community. She has also worked closely with engineers, open source maintainers, and tech communities in previous content creation and communications roles at Stackery (now part of AWS) and Forem – the open source software behind popular developer community dev.to. At Forem, Gracie also played a major role in helping plan CodeNewbie’s CodeLand conference, serving as Program Chair for two out of the past three years of her involvement. Today, Gracie serves as the Director of Communications & Marketing at the Rust Foundation. In this position, she is leading the evolution of the Rust Foundation's brand and messaging, while working with the Rust Foundation staff team, Board of Directors, and members, as well as Rust Project leadership and community in order to develop meaningful communication programs. Gracie particularly enjoys gathering the inspiring stories of Rust Foundation grantees and working with the the community to help the Foundation deliver value to the entire Rust ecosystem.
