In the Hyperledger community, we use the phrase “All Are Welcome Here” at events, meetings, and other community interactions. Like most open source communities, Hyperledger’s community is not a single entity. It is comprised of many smaller groups that form around working groups, special interest groups, and projects. With so many groups, meetings, mailing lists, and chat channels, how can community leaders effectively create an inclusive and civil environment to cultivate a diverse community? This session will go through the best practices for conducting meetings, writing code reviews, and enabling asynchronous collaboration to create an inclusive environment. These best practices apply broadly to any open source project.
