While a basic OpenTelemetry implementation might send all your data directly to a data store, intermediate users will want to use the OpenTelemetry collector to filter, compress, and control their data. Nočnica will take you through how to control your data overhead, including: * filtering PII * clamping uncontrolled metrics * structuring your data * Processing and flagging critical events The goal is to go from having a basic understanding of Observability with OpenTelemetry, to becoming capable of processing data before its sent to your data store.
